Home Visits

Full physiotherapy expertise, delivered in your home. If getting to the clinic is difficult because of mobility, illness, or recovery, our home visit service brings the same in-depth assessment and treatment to you. We tailor every visit to your environment, helping you stay confident and independent in the home you know best.

If you have difficulty with getting out and about, we can bring our physiotherapy expertise to your home. A home visit may also benefit you if your problem is specifically related to a difficulty you are having within your home environment. You may be struggling to get up your stairs or walk around your home and garden in which case we can really tailor our treatment program to address that specific need and practice with you.

Who can benefit from a home visit?

Our home visit service is designed for anyone who finds travelling to the clinic difficult, or whose physiotherapy needs are best addressed in their own environment. This often includes:

- Older adults with reduced mobility or balance concerns
- Patients recovering from surgery, illness or a hospital admission
- People managing long-term conditions where travel adds to fatigue or pain
- Anyone whose physiotherapy goals are tied to specific challenges at home, such as managing stairs, transferring in and out of a chair or bed, or moving safely around the home and garden

Conditions we commonly treat at home

We treat a wide range of conditions during home visits, including:

- Reduced mobility
- Continued rehabilitation after hospital discharge
- Post-operative and post-injury rehabilitation
- Neurological conditions, including stroke and Parkinson's disease
- Breathing difficulties

What to expect on a home visit

A home visit follows the same structure as an appointment at our clinic, just delivered in your own space. Visits typically last about an hour. We start with a chat about your symptoms, medical history and what you want to get out of treatment, then carry out a hands-on assessment. We bring the equipment we need with us, including resistance bands, gym balls, light weights, mobility aids and a treatment couch. From there we agree a treatment plan tailored to your home environment and goals, and you'll leave the session with clear next steps and exercises to work on between visits.
